The Westchester County Department of Health issued an alert last week warning that anyone who ate or drank at bartaco in Port Chester between Oct. 12 and Oct. 23 receive preventive treatment against the viral illness after an employee worked while infectious.

Officials said they were aware of the outbreak of hepatitis A after four diners and a bartaco employee contracted the disease last month. It was only traced back to bartaco last week.

Bartaco was closed down for a day before being reopened after passing an inspection from the Health Department. Since the report of the outbreak, hundreds have made their way to the Westchester County Center for free preventative treatment for the disease.
