The 7:55 a.m. accident, at Route 116 (Exit 7), has resulted in stop-and-go traffic back to Hardscrabble Road (Exit 8).
Farther north, there are heavy delays on eastbound I-84 between Route 9D and Route 52 after a serious accident that had resulted in the closure of I-84 in both directions near the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge.
An earlier accident in the pre-dawn hours resulted in the two lanes being blocked on the northbound Taconic State Parkway at the Saw Mill River Parkway.
