WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Hands Up for Haiti (HUFH), a medical humanitarian organization committed to improving the quality and sustainability of health care in Haiti, held its annual celebration: Music, Food, and Conversation with a Haitian Flair, on Thursday, April 16 at 42: The Restaurant, at the Ritz Carlton in White Plains.

The organization honored Dr. Mary Ann LoFrumento, its vice president and co-founder and director of global health.

One hundred and fifty people attended the event and were welcomed by a Haitian drummer band, took part in a silent auction with a variety of goods and a program auction. Guests were also treated to a dinner at the event.

The program auction enabled participants to support HUFH’s programs in Haiti, including those that address childhood malnutrition and infant mortality.
