WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- ?Friends of Westchester County Parks, the only organization dedicated exclusively to promoting and supporting Westchester County parks, announced the election of Seth Mandelbaum as vice chairman of the board of trustees.
“We are very pleased to welcome Seth as vice chairman of Friends of Westchester County Parks,” said Joanne Fernandez, chairperson, Friends of Westchester County Parks. “His insight and passion for Westchester County parks is a great asset to the Board.”
Mandelbaum, a partner with McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt, LLP in White Plains, was appointed to the Board of Trustees for Friends of Westchester County Parks in 2011. He practices in the areas of land use and environmental law, municipal law and not-for-profit organizations.
Mandelbaum is one of only a handful of attorneys in New York to be certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP).
Mandelbaum is admitted to the New York State Bar; the Connecticut State Bar; U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, and the District of Connecticut.
He is a member of the New York State and Westchester County Bar Associations, as well as The Business Council of Westchester. In 2009, he was a recipient of The Business Council of Westchester “Rising Stars - 40 under 40” award. He was appointed as Co-Chair of the Environmental Law Committee of the Westchester County Bar Association in 2012.
Mandelbaum holds a J.D., cum laude, and an Environmental Law Certificate from Pace University School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor for the Pace Environmental Law Review; and a B.A. with honors from the University of Florida, where he majored in Environmental Policy.
He resides in White Plains with his wife and two daughters.
