WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Police arrested a White Plains man after he was chased around the Westchester Mall on May 7, and he was accused of stealing $2,950-worth of watches from Bloomingdale's, police said.
Kevin Pedrow,32, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony.
A security officer responding to a report of a shoplifter told police the suspect took a watch tower, holding 10 Michelle watches worth $295 each, from Bloomingdale's fashion accessory department and ran. When he was pursued, the security officer told police, the suspect threw the display to the ground as he left the store and continued to run until he fell down an embankment on Bloomingdale Road.
Security officers continued to chase Pedrow on Bloomingdale Road until he got back to the front of the store, where police caught him.
Pedrow was taken to headquarters and held for arraignment.
