A multi-vehicle accident caused heavy delays on the westbound Cross County Parkway on Wednesday morning.

The crash, reported at 9 a.m., occurred at Exit 9 in Mount Vernon.

An earlier accident on the northbound Bronx River Parkway initially took out the right lane at Crane Road (Exit 12) with backups to Ardsley Road (Exit 11).
