Corpse Found In Abandoned White Plains Home Before Demolition

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - An asbestos removal company discovered a decomposed corpse in the basement of an abandoned White Plains home, according to a report by LoHud.com.

The crew was going to demolish the interior of the West Post Road home Wednesday when they stumbled upon the body, which they first thought to be a pile of clothes. They smelled an odor when they removed the windows, but didn't pay it any mind because they had found a homeless man and dead raccoons and other animals inside.

Police equipped with a K-9 unit searched the property to remove any homeless people living inside at the request of the property owner, according to the report.
