The Con Edison cut and clear crew focuses on safety issues and clearing wires that are obstructing roads, officials said.

Homeowners with damage to the service boxes on the side of their house are asked to contact an electrician before Con Edison can hook up the service to a power line. Con Edison told the city it will not fix service boxes on the outside of homes.

Those who have been told by Con Edison that their power has been restored when it has not, which the city has received reports of, are asked to re-report the outage by calling 1-800-75-CONED.

For those still without power, Con Edison will not be distributing dry ice Wednesday. However, the White Plains Library will be open until 9 p.m. and continues to offer additional power strips for patrons to charge their electronic devices. Hot showers are still being offered at four community organizations.
