Bronx Man Arrested for D.W.I. in White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - A Bronx man was arrested for drunk driving on Mamaroneck Avenue early Sunday morning.

White Plains police noticed a black Chevy Blazer driving slowly, struggling to stay within the lane lines and weaving in and out of traffic at about 2:30 a.m.. The officers pulled David Palmer over where Mamaroneck Avenue meets Bloomington Road. After Palmer failed various sobriety tests, he was arrested and charged with one count of driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Palmer was released on $250 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.

Raanique Carlton of White Plains and Christi Stedman of Elmsford were arrested around 8:30 p.m. Friday after the two allegedly left Wal-Mart with $154.17 worth of lotions, clothing, hosiery, food and makeup stashed in a tote back. Both women were brought in for one count of petite larceny.

Police charged Andrea Macedo, a Mount Vernon resident, with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree Saturday. Macedo was approached at 9 Chester Ave. early Saturday morning while carrying an open Heineken beer bottle. A search through her purse revealed two Zip Lock baggies containing what police believed was marijuana. Officers also discovered two batches of what is thought to be cocaine in Macedo's shirt pocket. She was released on $500 bail.

White Plains police responded to a woman's stalking complaint Sunday evening. The woman believed her ex-boyfriend came to her apartment and slashed her current boyfriend's car tires. The White Plains resident said her ex-boyfriend has been consistently emailing her and showed up at her job without her consent.
