The Blizzard of 2017 has prompted a rare shutdown of The Westchester Mall in the heart of White Plains on Tuesday. The mall on Bloomingdale Road will reopen at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, a spokeswoman said.
In Greenburgh, meanwhile, the Theodore Young Community Center has been designated as a warming shelter for the duration of the monster snowstorm in the event of a power outage in parts of the unincorporated Town of Greenburgh.
The center is located at 32 Manhattan Ave. near Tarrytown-White Plains Road (Route 119).
