An arrest warrant has been issued for comedian Bill Cosby for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple employee Andrea Constant in January 2004, according to multiple reports.
Cosby has said what happened between the two was consensual, but in new court filings the 42-year-old massage therapist claims she was in a relationship with a woman at the time, People Magazine reported.
The statute of limitations to charge Cosby runs out in January, People said.
The 78-year-old Cosby is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon. If convicted, he could serve up to 10 years in prison.
More than 50 women have accused the entertainer of drugging and/or sexually assaulting them and Cosby has denied all of the allegations, according to People. The warrant comes just two weeks after he filed his own defamation lawsuits against some of his accusers, People added.
