Beach Boys Bring 50th Anniversary Tour to White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — The Beach Boys’ 50th Anniversary Tour stops in White Plains on Tuesday night.

The iconic band was set to take the stage at 7:30 p.m. at the Westchester County Center. Earlier, Al Jardine and the rest of the Boys met with County Executive Robert Astorino, who presented them with a proclamation declaring it Beach Boys Day in Westchester.

The reunion tour is the first to feature original band members Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks, together for the first time in more than 20 years.

Astorino said he’ll be there Tuesday to cheer on the band he grew up listening to. Although he won't be able to sport a Hawaiian shirt, coming directly from another event, the Hawthorne, N.Y., native said he may take off his tie to let loose.
