Audit Alleges Metro-North Overtime Abuse

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A recent report released by the Office of the State Comptroller revealed several instances of overtime abuse by Metro-North employees, according to the New York Post.

According to the report, conductors were paid overtime for changing clothes or traveling to and from work. The report also alleges Metro-North didn't keep accurate time records for employees and signed off on overtime without justification, the Post reported. 

The overtime paid out was funded by $72.3 million that was given to the railroad as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, The Post said.
