Here is the full speech:

"Good morning. It’s great to be with you as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King. Dr. King was a role model in service and leadership for our nation, and today more than ever, we need to remind ourselves of his example, adhere to his words and admonitions and never stop seeking to fulfill his dream.

"The Bible tells us 'blessed are the peacemakers.' Dr. King was certainly blessed. Not with a long life but with an impactful life.

"A life that 47 years after its last breath still pulls us home towards, as Lincoln once said, 'the better angels of our nature.'

"His life, his words, his dream, his example. May it always resonate in every American’s heart and may it guide each of us to strive mightily to be one of the blessed peacemakers that Dr. Martin Luther King was and what he wanted each of us to be. Together, in the 'solid rock of brotherhood.'

"As Dr. King knew, there is no other way because our destinies are tied together. Peace I leave with you. My peace and commitment I give to you. Thank you and God Bless."
