Ask Legal Questions At Annual Senior Law Day In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Free legal and financial advice for senior citizens and their families will be offered at the 14th annual Senior Law Day in Westchester from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 17, at the County Center in White Plains.

Workshop topics will include estate planning, wills versus trusts, preparing for your retirement years with or without long-term care insurance, the nuts and bolts of financial planning and balancing love and marriage against estate, tax and Medicare concerns.

Participants also will have the opportunity for free, 15-minute, one-on-one consultations with elder-law attorneys, certified financial planners and geriatric care managers.

The event is presented by the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services, the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services and the Ninth Judicial District of the New  York State Office of Court Administration.
