WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains resident Tony Russo is one of Daily Voice's community advisers for its White Plains and Tarrytown sites.
Community advisors provide Daily Voice with tips for local news and events.
Russo is the owner and the general manager of Aries Wine and Spirts in White Plains. A wine connoisseur and an educator, Russo has traveled the world with his wife, Andrea, seeking out the best wines and forging relationships with the world’s leading vintners and wine families.
In 2006, Russo was awarded the Brown-Forman Retailer of the Year award, which is one of the most prestigious in the industry. Aries was selected as Westchester’s best wine shop by the Westchester magazine.
Russo always has believed the integral part of doing business is getting involved in his community. He has been at the forefront of the struggle to prevent the unregulated proliferation of liquor stores and to protect against underage drinking.
