A Look at What's on the Agenda in White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – White Plains has another busy week at city hall. Here's a look at what's on the agenda:

•  The common council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at city hall. The public is invited to share their opinion of proposed legislation that would extend the moratorium blocking building on four golf courses, including the former Ridgeway Country Club, from Oct. 17, 2011 to May 17, 2012. A second public hearing will then allow residents to speak about Prophecy's application for a special permit to operate a cabaret on S. Broadway.

The council is expected to approve a contract with the Silverberg Zalantis LLP authorizing the law firm to assist the city with handling the French-American School of New York's (FASNY) special permit application and required environmental studies.

After the council concludes, a third public hearing will allow residents to share their thoughts on the draft environmental impact statement, which outlines what locations and concerns FASNY should analyze in studies.
