At approximately 7:15 a.m., members of the Yonkers PD were dispatched to a Sadore Lane apartment building, where there was a report of a person down, Sgt. Dean Politopoulos said. Upon arrival, officers reported a “female down on the ground in an apparently lifeless state.”
Medical personnel were called to the scene and the victim - whose identity has not been released, pending family notification - was pronounced dead.
According to police, the preliminary investigation determined that she fell from the roof of the apartment building. Detectives with the Major Case and Crime Scene Unit are currently investigating to determine the nature and circumstance of the fall.
Politopoulos said that detectives are speaking with residents, canvassing for witness and reviewing surveillance video as they process forensic evidence.
