WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - White Plains has that special something that seems to make Youtube users get all nostalgic. Montages of the city and informal tours have become some of the most viewed videos when you search "White Plains, NY" on Youtube.
A collection of images from White Plains in 2004 has been watched 10,990 times. Those who commented beneath the "White Plains, NY" video mentioned how much they liked their home, especially its malls. Several others noted they'd moved and missed White Plains. Two users even discovered they once lived on the same street.
Glitter46 wrote, "I live on S. lexington!! It's such a long street! Which part of it did [you] live on??"
After virtually hashing out details of a S. Lexington Avenue neighborhood, TheMonolith75 wrote, " Wow!! I can't believe I'm actually speaking to someone who lives on my old street!!!."
The aerial views of this video , also titled "White Plains, NY," caught the attention of 10,417 viewers.
A user named vbdenny said he made the video during his move out of White Plains.
"I'll be in White Plains later today as we have to clean out our apartment on Lake Street and move the stuff back to our place in New Jersey. Probably my last time in WP. Of course I'll take some video today as I am moving stuff," vbdenny wrote in a comment.
Shots include Main Street skyscrapers, "plenty of parking," the library, views up North and South Broadway, and a moving fire engine.
