White Plains Veteran, Michael Hickey Dies at 66

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Michael R. Hickey, of White Plains, died Feb. 5. He was 66.

Born April 17, 1945 in White Plains, he was the son of Vincent and Ruth Hickey. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969. Hickey was a retired City of White Plains employee and member of the American Legion. On July 7, 1999, he married Charlyn R. Stephens at St. John the Evangelist Church in White Plains. She survives him at home.

Hickey is also survived by his daughters Eileen Holder, Colleen Griffin, Simon Blejec and Darlene Dugan, his brother Daniel (Lee) Hickey, his sisters Maureen Van Loan and Kathleen Martin and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers James, John, Arthur and Stephen Hickey.

Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains. The funeral mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Church, followed by interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in White Plains.
