City Center Dance, a White Plains-based dance company, has been providing much of the non-basketball entertainment for the expansion Westchester Knicks at the Westchester County Center this season.

The dance academy, at 98 Lake St., is the official home of the Westchester Knicks Dance Team. At Saturday's game against the Bakersfield Jam, City Center's teenage dancers took center stage at halftime, doing a jazz routine set to  "Don't Rain On My Parade."

"For many of these kids, this is a once in a lifetime experience," Dina Giordano, the artistic director of City Center Dance, said. "They get nervous but they are also so excited.

The dancers performed the same routine at the UBS Parade in Stamford where Giordano lives.

"The Westchester Knicks have been extremely supportive of us," Giordano, who is assistant coach to the Westchester Knicks dance team, said.

Giordano said her other dance teams will be performing at Westchester Knicks games throughout the season.
