Donna Fumuso, a Westchester County employee who works in White Plains, and her niece, Lindsay Sylvester, a Greenwich fifth grader, have been selected among the Top 16 in the National Girl Scout Cookie Recipe Contest sponsored by "Taste of Home" magazine for their oatmeal raisin cookie pie.

"We know we loved how it tasted," said Sylvester. "But to have a cooking magazine think so too is very cool. Now I just need people to vote for us!”

That's where you come in. Daily votes count, but on computers only (i-Phones and i-Pads don't seem to work).

Go here and click under the cake/pie/cupcake category. The contest closes April 14. You can cast a vote once every 24 hours per category.

The two Girl Scouts (past and present) are the only ones in their category from the New York/Connecticut region. (Fumusco lives in Pawling.) They would love the grand prize of $500 or even the $250 Runner-Up prize, though both said they are happy to have even gotten this far.

"This is so exciting," Sylvester said with multiple exclamation marks. "I love to bake with my aunt, and I can’t believe we made it to the top four in our category."
