YONKERS, N.Y. -- It was less than four years ago that Yonkers native Lucas Rojas discovered his passion was sports radio.

The  22-year old grew up playing baseball and basketball, but recently realized "talking sports" was what he was meant to do.

Graduating with a degree in Business Administration from the White Plains-based College of Westchester, Rojas decided to take the advice from a former professor and pursue his dream by teaming up with a friend.

The result is “Rivals React," a podcast streaming live on Spreaker.com with Rojas and his Co-Host, Evan Medina, talking everything sports Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

“We came up with the name 'Rivals React' because I'm a New York Yankees, Giants, and Knicks fan, and Evan roots for the Boston Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, and New England Patriots,” said Rojas.

Together, they host the show using Skype, with Rojas in Yonkers and Medina in New Hampshire.

With podcasts increasing in popularity, the two are looking forward to growing their audience and guest list. Last week the duo had former WWE Referee and Co-Host of “Aftermath” Jimmy Korderas on their show.

This week’s schedule includes USA Today Sports Writer, Charles Curtis, on Tuesday, Jan. 10, and Westchester’s Dennis Holden, host of DHAP, on Thursday, Jan. 12.
