The White Plains-based homebuilder participated in Hard Hats Helping Heroes, a holiday charity drive to collect important items that make troop’s day-to-day life more comfortable.
Personal care and medical products, clothing, entertainment and recreation items, food and more were collected at Baker Residential’s Maple Fields community in the Orange County town of Wallkill and Pro-Build locations in upstate New York and delivered to active-duty service men and women overseas who have registered with the Soldiers’ Angels program.
The efforts of the three community-minded companies allowed 52 care packages to be sent to troops across the globe in time for Christmas.
“We’re extremely grateful and honored to participate in Hard Hats Helping Heroes,” said Elizabeth Bauer, vice president of sales and marketing for Baker Residential.
“Our soldiers make the greatest sacrifice for our country. It’s important we recognize their commitment, and this drive helps bring them feelings of joy and comforts of home as they spend the holiday season abroad. We’re thankful to community members who donated, our partners and staff who helped make this worthwhile cause a success.”
