Russo, Retired White Plains Foreman, Dies at 94

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Charles "Charlie" S. Russo, 94, a lifelong resident of White Plains, died March 21 at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, Conn.  

He was born Sep. 19, 1917 to the late Enrico and Frances Russo in White Plains. Russo served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in Saipan. A retired general foreman, he was employed by Con Edison for 45 years before retiring in 1981. 

Russo was active with the Republican Party in White Plains and was a founder and lifelong charter member of the Roma AC Club in White Plains.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lucy Russo in 1992. Russo is survived by his son, Charles A. (Jane) Russo of West Harrison; his sister, Frances Bochett; and two granddaughters. He also was predeceased by his sisters, Louise and Henrietta (Dolly); and his brother, Benny. 

Family and friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawthorne Funeral Home. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Greenburgh.
