“The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester holds so many amazing memories for the two of us; it was where we began our relationship and really fell in love,” Jodi Sabatino, the new bride-to-be, said in a statement.
Groom-to-be Dave Levy worked with Christine Devers, director of operations at The Ritz Carlton, to develop his engagement plans, knowing he wanted to propose on May 22, the hotel said in a press release.
Though the hotel was originally sold out for that date, Devers was able to get the couple into the Presidential Suite, where the hotel’s Guest Relations team set up a sangria-themed amenity and Housekeeping decorated with a bouquet of flowers and rose petals. During their dinner at the hotel’s BLT Steak restaurant, the couple’s waiter took a photo of them, which the hotel framed and put in their room, the release said.
To help with Levy’s engagement surprise, the hotel’s Crème de la Crème Sweets pastry team created an edible engagement ring box to hold the ring.
“Getting down on one knee and asking someone to spend the rest of their life with you is certainly a nerve-wracking experience,” said Jeff Dziak, the hotel’s general manager. “Our ladies and gentlemen are happy to help in any way possible to take some of that stress away and create an unbelievably romantic wedding proposal for the couple to remember forever.”
Levy and Sabatino are planning to wed in the Fall 2014, the release said.
