WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – There is still time to buy tickets for the first We Stand in Solidarity Dinner on Dec. 1 at the Knights of Columbus in White Plains to honor the life of Kenneth Chamberlain Sr .

Tickets are $75. To buy a ticket, contact Travis Williamson at (914) 837-7819 or by email ; or Shabazz Fuller at (914) 424-5367 or by email .

“The purpose of this dinner is to bring awareness to police misconduct, brutality and criminality as well as the need for oversight regarding this disease,” Kenneth Chamberlain Jr. said in a statement.”

Chamberlain, 68, was shot by White Plains Officer Anthony Carelli after police responded to a medical alert from Life Aid that Chamberlain accidentally triggered in the early morning of Nov. 19. During an hour-long standoff at his apartment, Chamberlain refused to open his door to allow police to verify his condition.

Chamberlain family lawyers have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the city of White Plains, its police department and housing authority, and are pursuing criminal charges against the officers involved through the U.S. attorney's office.

The dinner will also honor the lives of DJ Henry and Ramarley Graham , whose families will be in attendance.

“We will also be honoring the memory and lives lost at the hands of individuals who swore an oath to serve and protect – but this should, in no way, be viewed as a police bashing dinner or conference.”
