Idelfonso Medina, 65, White Plains Mail Clerk

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Idelfonso “Idel” Navarro Medina, 65, of Port Chester, died April 10.  

Medina was born Jan. 23, 1947, in Manila, Philippines. A resident of Port Chester for more than 15 years, he worked as a mail clerk in the White Plains Post Office for 14 years. 

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Aurora V. Medina; three children, Bernard and Rowena Medina, John and Bernadette Matel, Herbert and Laura Medina; grandchildren, JR, Jaydee, Jeremy, Annie, Joseph and Adam; numerous family/friends in the Philippines and here in the United States. He is preceded in death by his parents, Angel Medina and Remedios Navarro.  

Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, at Gunipero-Farenga Funeral Home in Port Chester. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
