WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Annie A. Wright, of White Plains, died April 27. She was 68.
She was born Aug. 7, 1943, to James Willie Storey and Flossie Storey Gaston in Newnan, Ga. Wright began her formal education in Georgia public schools and received a master's degree from Iona College.
While in high school, she met Leon Wright and they were married in August of 1965. An active Baptist, she was most recently a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of New Rochelle.
Wright was a charter member of the Greater Hudson Valley chapter of Links, Inc. She was also active in the Rockland County alumni chapter of Delta Sigma Theta sorority.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Risi-Leanne Baranja and Rashida Vasquez; two sons-in-law, Leo and Slavko; two granddaughters; a sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla. Arrangements are being handled by the Barney T. McClanahan Funeral Home.
