WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – If you can dribble a basketball, you can audition for a White Plains performance that fuses sport with dance and gives students in grades eight and nine a chance to “Have a Ball.”

Choreographer Peter Pucci will be casting the community project, “Having a Ball”, March 23 at Eastview Middle School’s upper gym on 350 Main St. Before that, Pucci will hold a demonstration at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday for kids interested in auditioning. For a look at similar performances choreographed by Pucci, visit his website .

The program is hosted by ArtsWestchester, the White Plains Youth Bureau and Department of Parks and Recreation. It is paid for through a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts.

Students chosen for the program will train with Pucci during ten free Saturday sessions.

To register for the audition, or for more information, call 914-428-4220 ext. 316 or email ssashford@artswestchester.org. To audition, students should wear sneakers, comfortable clothing and bring a basketball if possible.
