White Plains Parks & Recreation facilities include 51 County parks on 15,900 acres; the County-owned amusement park, Playland; five County golf courses, two municipal golf courses, 43 private golf courses, Ebersole Ice Rink, four trailways with over 90 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails, and 41 nature centers, preserves and conservancies.
Municipal public facilities include 14 play areas, two nature areas, eight school recreation sites, 50 acres of open space. There are outdoor swimming pools (Gardella, Kittrell, and Saxon Woods Parks), tennis & racquetball courts, Maplemoor golf course, soccer fields, jogging & bike paths.
The Senior Center is located at 65 Mitchell Ave. in the downtown area and is open from 8 a.m,-4:30 p.m. weekdays and offers nutrition, transportation, classes, trips, special events, and health and support services.
