The students have started WestchesterEats, a mobile app that allows people to order food, make reservations and find more information about restaurants in Westchester.

The app is developed and is currently looking for restaurants to sign on. Zachary Tuzzo, one of the co-founders, said it all started when they wanted to order pizza.

"We didn’t have the menu with us, so we didn’t know what to get or what was available for us to order," Tuzzo said.

The boys said they realized there had to be a more effortless and efficient month to order food. They began to list out restaurants in town to see how many there were.

Tuzzo is one of four founders, along with William Cohen, Robert Waxman and Evan Miller. Each of them works on their own specific role, yet on larger decisions, everyone comes together.

Cohen writes the code, Waxman is in charge of sales and website development, Miller handles the marketing and Tuzzo keeps tabs on the finances. Tuzzo said all four of them are foodies and love technology.

"These two things come very easily to us being that our generation thrives upon the technology our society has introduced," Miller said.

"Additionally, we constantly find ourselves out to dinner and rarely have to use the menu because we know it by heart."

Tuzzo said they plan to launch the app in July with 15 to 20 restaurants signed on, along with a website.

"Our ultimate goal is to spread to every restaurant in Westchester County and to get our mobile application into the hands of everyone in Westchester," Waxman said.

"For our future, we hope to spread to other counties and create a localized “___Eats” app for each one."
