The Greenville Community Church, on Ardsley Road, collected $5,000 in a just three weeks to donate to the Coachman Family Center in White Plains.

The Coachman Family Shoe Project provided $25 gift cards to Payless Shoes to approximately 200 children and youth who reside at the Coachman Family Center, part of Westhab.Inc.

"We are thrilled to have reached our goal of $5,000," said Minister Edward Schreur of the Scarsdale church.

This goal was raised through the support of the community, including Sunday morning churchgoers, Cub Scouts Pack 4, the church's nursery school families and by an online website called Crowdrise.

In addition to the $25 gift cards, the Church also brought an SUV full of toys for children at the Center, all of which were distributed Christmas Eve.

Ivan Smith, Coachman's Youth Service Coordinator, was delighted with the support. "These gifts and gift cards provide a small token of appreciation at a stressful time in our resident's lives," he said. "The holidays can be a very difficult time for many of our clients. These gifts and gifts cards provide some happiness at this time of the year."
