Nine restaurants in White Plains are participating in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week with deals that practically beckon you to get out of hibernation and chow down.
Despite the "week" in its name, the two-week promotion is from March 9-22 and features prix fixe, three-course dinners for $29.95 and $20.95 lunches (plus drinks, tax and tip) with a focus on locally sourced seasonal ingredients.
More than 200 restaurants throughout Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster and Columbia counties are participating. Go here for the full list.
White Plains eateries include Benjamin Steakhouse, Gaucho Grill, Graziella's Italian Bistro, Mariposa at Neiman Marcus, Melting Pot, Mix Cocktail Bar & Kitchen at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Morton's Steakhouse, Sam's of Gedney Way and Sapori.
"As local residents of Westchester County and the Hudson Valley area, we think it’s important for people to explore and support local businesses," said Benjamin Steakhouse Owner Benjamin Prelvukaj. "Hudson Valley Restaurant Week allows those that might not be able to afford restaurants like Benjamin Steakhouse on a regular basis an opportunity to enjoy top quality food and service at an amazing price.
"And with a winter like we’ve been having, HVRW provides the perfect excuse to get out of the house and enjoy yourself."
