The show, created by Roughest Crew Pictures, is a true-story dramedy based on the life of Denson. It stars four-time, Emmy-nominated actress Alicia Minshew ("All My Children," "Beacon Hill") and award-winning actress Jenn Gotzon ("Doonby," "God's Country").

The story centers on a young widowed teacher with two teenagers (Minshew) who takes in a homeless family (Gotzon) during the Christmas holidays following the recent death of her husband. The two fatherless families experience the ups and downs of life together and, through much struggle and fun, form a warm bond with one another.

Denson said the story took place in a suburban neighborhood very much like those in Westchester, which is why she chose to shoot here.

"The people we have worked with in these areas have been so generous that it has captured the true heart of the story which is about hope and a community and people pulling together to find that next breath to move on and not just survive, but find life again," she said.

Mount Vernon Mayor Richard Thomas even stopped by to check out the action.
