WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Daughters of Liberty's Legacy are planning another Trolley Tour of Colonial White Plains following the success of the one held June 28.

The trolley tour began at historic Purdy house and visited the sites of the Battlefield of White Plains, the courthouse where the Declaration of Independence was read for the first time, Horton’s gristmill, several pre-Revolutionary houses still standing, Miller house and Miller hill and the historic White Plains Presbyterian Church graveyard, where 45 patriots rest among, other sites.

On board the trolley was “Ann Fisher Miller” (portrayed by Cynthia Kauffman) who told the story of what it was like to live during the American Revolution and house Generals Washington and Lee at her home.

The tour was led by Debra Palazzo, co-founder of Daughters of Liberty’s Legacy, along with Kauffman. Palazzo said, “The purpose of the tour was to preserve our Colonial history through education. There is no greater education to actually see and stand where history was made. The trolley made it fun for all as well.”
