The concert is Saturday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale June 1.
Musicians, 13 to 21, who play violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, and percussion are eligible to try out and appear on a professional stage with performers.
Jopling is looking for 23 student musicians. The final day of auditions is Tuesday, June 7 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Paramount Hudson Valley.
“We want the best in up and coming talent for "Awakening." Each student musician will be paired with a professional musical mentor, and both will practice, play side-by- side, and perform with me, my band and my special musical guests. It will be the experience of a lifetime!” said Jopling.

Students must commit to attending the following rehearsals:
Tuesday, June 21, noon to 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Aug. 30, noon to 6 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 23, time to be determined; Saturday, Sept. 23, 1 to 10 p.m.
Special concert guests include Rob Evan, lead singer with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Broadway sensation Joni Lanza.
Conducted and arranged by Dean Fransen, “Awakening” blends a wide variety of musical styles including classical, pop, reggae, Irish folk, gypsy violin and rock, all enhanced by custom-designed lighting and projections.
“Awakening” will be taped for television by Cinemusica, and is planned to air in the US, Europe and Asia.
The concert will feature original music by Jopling, Lanza, Brian Delma Taylor and Michael Feigenbaum, and will feature arrangements of classical, world and rock music. The performance will feature a full orchestra, choir, and dancers.
