Brush Up Skills At ArtsWestchester In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Fine-tune your skills and earn continuing education credits through Purchase College by completing four workshops for artists at ArtsWestchester in White Plains.

ArtsWestchester and Purchase College have partnered to offer Fine Tune Your Skills, a series of four workshops intended to strengthen artists' core skills. They are:

• Thursday, Oct. 18, 8:15 p.m. - Packaging and presenting yourself and your art
• Nov. 15, 8:15 p.m. - Using social media to advance your career in the arts
• Jan. 16, 5:30 - 8 p.m. - Writing an effective artist's statement
• Feb. 7, 6 - 8 p.m. - Intellectual property and the artist

"ArtsWestchester is pleased to be patterning with the prestigious Purchase College offering our artists continuing education credits," said Janet Langsam, CEO of ArtsWestchester.

The cost for a workshop is $25 for the public, teachers and artists, and $15 for students with a valid student ID, ArtsWestchester affiliates and teaching artists. There is an additional $25 fee.
