WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The YMCA of White Plains will host a viewing party to address bullying on Thursday, May 21.
The party begins at 6:30 p.m. to address bullying, an issue that impacts between many American children.
Attendees will view USA Network’s award-winning documentary, NFL Characters Unite, which profiles NFL stars who share deeply personal stories of facing hardships in their lives and mentor young people in their communities who currently face similar challenges.
The documentary features Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles, Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles, Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and Coach Pete Carroll.
The Y is a national partner of USA’s NFL CHARACTERS UNITE initiative. The viewing party is the final event in the Healthy Lifestyles Seminar Series the Y presented sponsored by The Daily Voice and Webster Bank.
Robert (Bob) Hyland, owner of Sports Page pub in White Plains and former New York Giant will guest host the viewing party. Hyland played eleven 11 in the National Football League for the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, New York Giants, and the New England Patriots. He played college football at Boston College and was drafted in the first round (ninth overall) of the 1967 NFL Draft. He played high school football at Archbishop Stepinac.
