The event will benefit the Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy Program at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network, and the children’s hospital for the Hudson Valley and Fairfield County.

The event will begin with a cocktail hour, featuring signature Southern hospitality drinks of Tom Collins cocktails and Mint Julep Martinis. “Acute Inflections,” a dynamic duo with base and vocals, will perform during the cocktail hour.

All attendees are encouraged to dress in their Kentucky Derby best – including those famous Derby “statement” hats. A hat contest will feature prizes in the following categories: elegant, most creative, and most humorous. In addition, there will be a special running of the Empire Westchester Derby, where businesses can sponsor, name, and provide a “jockey” for their “horses.”

Everyone will also have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items before and after the sit-down, plated luncheon. Individual tickets are $125 and reserved tables of 10 are $1,250. Tickets are available online at www.wcrempireny.com. Tickets at the door will be $150.

“This is going to be a very elegant and exciting afternoon with lots of love and creativity going into the planning,” said Pat Palumbo, President of the WCR, Empire Westchester Business Resource Network. “We chose the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital’s Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy Program as our beneficiary because of the wonderful services they provide to the community.
