White Plains Youth Bureau Benefit To Honor Broadway Dancer

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Dance is life for Aubrey Lynch II, and, Jan. 18, the White Plains Youth Bureau will honor the Broadway dancer and choreographer at "Dance Is Life," its eighth annual dance benefit at the White Plains Performing Arts Center.

Lynch is one of seven original male dancers in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, Disney's "The Lion King."

The proceeds will support some of the more than 50 programs at the White Plains Youth Bureau offers.

Lynch is one of seven original male dancers in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, "Disney's The Lion King." He also has danced in the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York. He will perform a solo dance Jan. 18.

"Dance Is Life" also will feature the high-kicking O’Rourke Irish Dancers, the White Plains-based Steffi Nossen School of Dance and the Keene Dance Theatre. The Andrea Elam dancers from Peekskill will perform in the Benefit for the first time.

Tickets are $50 and $30 at the White Plains Performing Arts Center box office in the White Plains City Center at 11 City Place between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, online, or at the White Plains Youth Bureau.
