White Plains YMCA Plans Family Float Night

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- On Saturday evening, White Plains YMCA will hold its first Family Float Night, a family-friendly evening of fun and a fundraiser for its 2014 YMCA Annual Campaign.

Family Float night will be from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16 in the large pool at the YMCA at 250 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains. Bring your float and enjoy a showing of "Finding Nemo" while you float around the heated pool with family and friends. Movie starts at 7 p.m.

Food and refreshments will be available for sale, as well as a raffle for great prizes including Crayola gift sets, gift cards, YMCA swag, aquatics lessons at the Y and more.

Each family will go home with a goodie bag with fun gifts and prizes from local businesses. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children. Space is limited so arrive early and don’t forget your floats!

Funds raised from Family Float night go toward the Y's Annual Campaign. The YMCA is committed to extending its services to as many people as possible. To reach that goal, financial assistance is available to members and program participants based on need and available funds raised through the Annual Campaign.

The YMCA is a branch of the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester. For more information about Family Float night and about the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester, contact Director of Fund Development and Communications Anne Ring at (914) 287-2021, ext 221, or aring@ymca-cnw.org.
