White Plains Mall Walk To Talk Of Elder Law And Geriatric Care

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Westchester in White Plains is set to present programs on elder law issues and geriatric care for the group's Mall Walk program Friday.

Judith Matson, coordinator of the upcoming Senior Law Day program, is scheduled to provide an overview of the free workshops on elder law issues such as wills vs. trusts, estate planning, planning for the care of a loved one and financial planning, according to a press release. Senior Law Day will be held at the Westchester County Center in White Plains on Oct. 17.

Miriam Scholl, LMSW, Westchester Elder Care Consultants, is "an experienced geriatric care manager" and is scheduled to discuss "this growing field including how a care manager can assist with finding and obtaining needed services," according to the release. 

The program is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. at the Food Court on Level 4 with admission and parking free for members of the mall walk program. The Mall Walk program is sponsored by Westchester County Parks. To join, residents can sign up at the horse fountain plaza near Crate & Barrel on Retail Level Two, on Tuesday and Friday mornings during the program.
