White Plains Library Hosts Teen Events In August

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains Library will host a variety of teen events throughout the month of August.

Here is a rundown of events:

Sewing in The Edge: Summer Workshop Series: Session I / Learn the basics of machine and hand sewing and make some fun projects to take home. Enrollment limited to 8 students; registration required and registrants must attend both weeks on Tuesdays, Aug. 5 and 12 at 3 p.m. Must be entering 7th grade or higher.  

College Essay Writing Workshop / Hosted by Latino U, students get a head-start on their personal statements for their college applications. Wednesdays, Aug. 6 and 13 at 1 p.m. 

Creator Camp: Join the Creator Camp where different projects will be made each week. Create a 3-D bust of yourself. Participation at all events is not mandatory. Tuesdays, Aug. 19, 26  at 3 p.m.

Coding Club: Discuss topics related to computer programming and practice using various languages. Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 4 p.m.
