White Plains Concert Features Music Of Spanish Composer Granados

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Enrique Granados Commemorative Concert featuring Spanish romantic and national music will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at the Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation at White Plains.

This commemorative chamber concert featuring compositions by Enrique Granados marks the centenary of the Spanish composer's visit to New York City in 1916.

Performers include CUUC music director and pianist Adam Kent, pianist Jason Cutmore, violinist Airi Yoshioka and cellist Sibylle Johner of the Damocles Trio. 

Tickets are $20 per person; $10 for seniors and students; $5 for Children; $45 maximum for families, and can be purchased at the door.

CUUC music director since 1990, pianist Kent has performed in recital, as soloist with orchestra and in chamber music groups throughout the United States, Spain, Switzerland, Cuba, Italy and South America. 

A winner of the American Pianists Association Fellowship and Simone Belsky Music Awards, Kent also received top prizes in the Thomas Richner, the Juilliard Concerto, and the Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Competitions and is a recipient of the Arthur Rubinstein Prize and the Harold Bauer Award.
