WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Retired U.S. Marine Ricardo Sheppard will be honored at the White Plains Veterans Day Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Soldier’s and Sailor’s Monument in the White Plains Rural Cemetery.
Col. J.J. Dill, an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran, is the keynote speaker and will share his memories and insights.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks the White Plains Marine Corps League, Westchester County Detachment and Col. Wayne J. McGrath, the Veteran’s Committee Chairman, for their continued work on behalf of veterans,” said Mayor Thomas Roach. “I invite all residents to attend this ceremony and pay tribute to our veterans who have sacrificed so greatly.”
