What's Happening In White Plains This Weekend

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – An annual sports card show, an expo promoting healthy living and the Westchester Pride Celebration are some of the events going on in White Plains this weekend.

Friday

White Plains Sports Card Show: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. The annual East Coast National card show will feature 450 tables filled with memorabilia, cards and collectibles. Admission is $8 for adults and free for children under 12 years old. The card show will operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Westchester County Center, 198 Central Ave.

Teen Summer Reading Party: 2 – 3:30 p.m.  By participating in the White Plains Library's summer reading program, you can win prizes while enjoying music, dancing, games and food. White Plains Library, 100 Martine Ave.

Saturday

Green Living Expo of Westchester: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Green Living Expo of Westchester is an event aimed at promoting a healthy and environmentally responsible community lifestyle, by exposing communities to green and eco-friendly products and services.? Westchester Pride Celebration: Noon. The celebration includes a "We Are Family" picnic, and the "Unzipped" Health Fair, where an iPad, iPod or Kindle will be up for grabs. There's also a free shuttle from the Hartsdale train station and Central Ave. Ridge Road Park, 287 Ridge Road,  Hartsdale.

Footloose: 8 p.m. The White Plains Performing Arts Center’s Summer Theatre Academy 2012 presents Footloose. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for high school students and younger. Another performance will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. White Plains Performing Arts Center, 11 City Place.  

Sunday

Cuentos: 2 – 2:30 p.m. The White Plains Library’s TROVE will hold story time in Spanish for the entire family.  Tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the start of the program. White Plains Library, 100 Martine Ave.
