WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A high school performance of "Lend Me a Tenor," a Playland job fair and the White Plains St. Patrick’s Day Parade are a few of the events happening in White Plains this weekend.

Friday

"Lend Me A Tenor" : 7 p.m.  White Plains High School students will perform “ Lend Me A Tenor ,” a Tony-nominated comedy written by Ken Ludwig, which opened in London's West End in 1986 and on Broadway in 1989. The performance will feature eight students and take place in the high school’s Little Theatre. Tickets are $7 for general admission and $5 for students, faculty members and senior citizens. Playland Job Fair : 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be on the spot Interviews for the first 300 applicants who attend. Available positions include: cashiers, rides, custodial, maintenance, lifeguards and EMTs. Bring your Social Security card, valid photo I.D. and three references. Applicants ages 16 and 17 who plan to complete their application at the fair must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Admission is free. Fair and Affordable Home Ownership Expo : 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Fair and Affordable Housing Expo will help you find out if you can own a home and help you to keep the home you own. White Plains St. Patrick’s Day Parade : noon. Parade Day will begin with a Mass at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 920 Mamaroneck Ave. The parade will begin at noon on Mamaroneck Avenue and proceed to City Hall on Main Street.

Indoor Farmer’s Market : 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Purchase a variety of food and products grown and produced by local farmers and vendors, including: fresh produce, baked goods, cheeses, maple syrup and honey, jams, meats, pickles, soaps and candles.
