What To Do In White Plains This Weekend

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. –  A teen holiday party, a silent auction to benefit the 9/11 Fund and Music Conservatory of Westchester, and a hooked rug exhibit are a few of the events happening in White Plains this weekend.

Friday

Teen Holiday Party: 3:30 p.m.-6 p.m. Teens can make holiday crafts, eat food, listen to holiday music and watch "The Hunger Games." White Plains Library, 100 Martine Ave.

Wii Fun For Kids: 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Students in grades one through five can join the Wii competition on the big screen in The Trove's Galaxy Hall. White Plains Library, 100 Martine Ave.

Funtastic Friday With The Gymnastics Department: 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m. The YWCA Gymnastic Department hosts an evening of fun activities, games, food and more. The fee is $35 for one child and $25 for a second child in same family. Register at the front desk of the YWCA at 515 North St.

Saturday

“Happy Helping Days” Soirée And Silent Auction: 7 p.m.-11 p.m. The March of Dimes will hold its first annual "Happy Helping Days" Soirée and Silent Auction, hosted by the Digital Arts Experience in White Plains. Guests are invited to bid on an array of items donated by Westchester businesses, as well as enter to win a gift pack from the Tuscany Café. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Music Conservatory of Westchester and the 9/11 Fund. Tickets cost $40 in advance and $55 at the door. All-you-can-eat and drink. Mary Parker – Hooked Rugs: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The hooked rugs of fiber enthusiast Mary Parker will be on view in the Museum Gallery. Parker’s work is inspired by the past and present of Westchester and Putnam counties. White Plains Library, 100 Martine Ave.
