WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A Make-A-Wish Foundation concert, a film festival and a holiday gift sale are a few of the events happening in White Plains this week.

Monday, Dec. 10

Peer-to-Peer Education : 7 to 8:30 p.m. White Plains High School teens will give presentations on healthy decision making, self-esteem and setting goals. Presentations will be in English and Spanish. White Plains Library, 100 Martine Ave.

Board of Education Meeting : 7:30 p.m. The White Plains Board of Education will have a regular meeting at Education House, 5 Homeside Lane.

We Sing for Wishes : 8 p.m. We Sing For The World, in partnership with the White Plains Performing Arts Center presents "We Sing For Wishes," a benefit concert for Make-A-Wish Foundation Hudson Valley, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions in the Hudson Valley. Performers include John Treacy Egan, Robi Hager, Gabby Garza, John Hager, Julia Harkey and Scottie Roché. Tickets can be bought online . White Plains Performing Arts Center, 11 City Plaza.

Hadassah Film Festival : 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. "Making Trouble" is the true saga of six of the greatest female comic performers of the last century – Molly Picon, Fanny Brice, Sophie Tucker, Joan Rivers, Gilda Radner and Wendy Wasserstein. Discussion to follow. This festival is co-sponsored by Westchester Region of Hadassah and the White Plains Public Library, 100 Martine Ave.

Holiday Gift Sale : 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Burke Auxiliary will have a gift sale to benefit its Patient Care Funding Program. Items include hand-crafted wreaths and decorations, candles, skin care and hair products, make-up, assorted gift baskets, crafts, toys, sports memorabilia, designer scarves, gloves, handbags, jewelry and more.
